Treasurer John Bajumpaa called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and we proceeded to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Four Way Test and angel offered a blessing by George.

Denise - East Longmeadow Club is very welcoming and they like to sing; received glowing review at work.

John - friend passed away at the age of 65.
Denise - dealing with a claim at work in front of MCAD.
Peter - had to cancel trip to Alaska.

George - in honor of RI President's request, he planted a new tree and encouraged neighbors to do the same referencing Rotary.
Margaret saluted George's efforts to spread the good works of Rotary.
 
Secretary's Wild Card (or whatever color shirt George is wearing applied to shirt, blouse, pants, skirt, dress)-  Pay $1 if you have ever been to North Korea - None.

Upcoming Speaker: Rick and Elin Lawrence are joining us on May 24th and will present the latest on the Guatemala Water Project.
 
Annual Raffle Tickets are on sale - $20 for a change to win two tickets to the Yankees at Red Sox on August 4th - contact a club member if you'd like a ticket. Drawing on May 31st.
 
We received the funds for the District grant project of purchasing the materials for the bridge.
 
We need an idea for a grant application for '18-'19 - application due by July 1st.

Community Day and Wine Tasting
Community Day will take place on Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at East Windsor Park. Our club will have a booth and be selling popcorn and water.
In addition, you can pick up tickets to our Wine Tasting to be held on October 7th at the Second Chance Farm, 42 Rice Road, Broad Brook. The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes samples of wine and beer and some delicious food to eat. If you've never been to the Second Chance Farm this is a great opportunity to check out the place and see an amazing display of tractors. For the second year in a row, the Second Chance Farm on Rice Road in Broad Brook will host our club's wine tasting event.
